Ting is a researcher, artist, and designer. She currently works as a Research Assistant at the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence in Design (AiDLab) in Hong Kong.

 

She has research experience in Natural Language Processing, Reinforcement Learning Robotics, Internet Censorship, and UX Design. She has teaching experience in Machine Learning and Data Science.

 

She has a Bachelor of Fine Art in Visual Communications from the Northwest College of Art and Design and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Evergreen State College. She is active in the art community and has participated in several art exhibits in recent years.

She believes in the value of art as a form of civic-action. In 2019, she translated the Temporary Autonomous Zone from English to Traditional Chinese, and published the work with a series of illustrations as a form of resistance during the Hong Kong Anti-extradition Protests.

In her professional career, she has worked with enterprises and startups as an UX Designer. As one of the pioneering members at Microsoft Teams for Government, she worked alongside a product team to solve problems for world agencies.
